I have worked in the building next door to Lucas Auto Care for nearly 4 years now, and most of the people in my office take their cars to see Tyger and his team. Lucas Auto Care has always had a great reputation within my office... so if anything ever went wrong or needed maintenance with my car, I knew where I would take it. With that being said, my cute little Mitsubishi is a tough spunky girl. I drive stick.. When the clutch finally went kaput on my poor little Mitsubishi, I knew exactly where I needed to take her so that she could get some much needed tender loving care. I was unfortunately the kind of person who avoided the necessities of having my car serviced so I could save a buck ... I know, I know. My neglect did more damage and I have learned my lesson. I towed my car into Lucas Auto Care thinking it would cost me my meager life savings and days to have my car back up and running again. Tyger was really great, honest and extremely fair. Despite having a booked schedule he was able to take my car in. His rates are very competitive and all of the parts he uses are top of the line. He installed a clutch, which technically costs Tyger more since it was a higher quality - but this speaks to the caliber of his work. The happy ending of this story is that I had my old girl back almost the next day. My car now runs incredibly smooth... so much so that I nearly stalled it off the line because of years of putting up with a sticky sub-par clutch. My car now operates better than it has in the 7.5 years I've owned it... all thanks to Tyger and his Lucas Auto Care team!
Friendly and Upfront
Auto repairs are always a pain in the rear, but Tyger makes it as painless as possible. My car has been in his shop several times for different things and I always leave feeling good about what he has done, the price I have paid and the quality of the work. I drive 30 miles one way to take my car to Lucas Auto Care...wouldn't take it anywhere else. You will never get burned. They are quick, efficient and explain exactly what they have found and what needs to be fixed. They are great about calling and letting you know the status of the repair(s) and ALWAYS friendly. Do yourself a favor and don't get ripped off trying any other mechanic.
Front end Repair
I took my BMW here to get the front-end repainted and to have some interior work done (my dash needed to be recovered). Lucas repainted my front-end flawlessly for a reasonable price and even sanded/buffed out the dullness on my headlights for free! The headlight treatment saved me about $800 vs. buying new headlamps, so that alone is worth the five star rating. Overall, for value and quality...and most importantly for a body shop...trustworthiness...Lucas Auto deserves my and all the other 130+ 5 star ratings it has received. I would highly recommend them and will return in the future.

I went to Lucas Car Care after being referred by 2 different sources. I had my 04 Ford Van into the dealer 4 separate times to fix an AC problem. Each time, they told me they fixed the problem but it never seemed any better. I went to Lucas' and they found and fixed the problem on the first visit. My AC now works like it should have all along. Aside from fixing the problem, I really liked the fact that my service advisor (Craig) kept me posted on what they were doing and explained things to me clearly. I'll be using Lucas Car Care for all my auto service going forward!
Headlight Replacement
I called after reviewing craigslist and was told to come in whenever I wished, and that the work would take 15-20 minutes. I arrived in the afternoon, and they took my car immediately, and within 15 minutes, they were done. The price was exactly what I had been quoted, $18.00. The Honda dealership I had called, and a place in Midtown had both quoted $50.00, minimum. Amazing.
Properly Diagnosed
Lucas Auto Care helped to take care of my Lexus RX300 in a way that really showed they cared. I had taken my car to two different car shops who guessed what the problem was and replaced pieces that were not the problem. When I took it to Lucas Auto Care they took the time to properly go though the entire vehicle to figure out not only what the problem was but what had caused the problem. When they did fix the vehicle they did so in less time than was originally promised. On top of all of that they gave me a free loaner while my car was being repaired. Lucas Paint and Body I needed some body work done to my car after I was hit from behind. Lucas Car Care took care of everything with the insurance company including getting me a loaner vehicle. My car was done in less time than was promised. I felt like they were really looking out for me.
Very Impressed
The guy in charge, Tyger, is awesome. He knows his German cars down pat. He also doesnt bs you and tell you that you need to get things fixed when they dont need to be fixed. My family and I have been using his services for over 2 years with a few different models of BMWs and MBZs and he's kept them all running great
Honest and Helpful Service Advisors
I dont trust all google reviews, but I went to Lucas Car Care because of google reviews and it paid off. I found Craig to be very honest and helpful. We took our old beater in, and he replaced a part for us. As it turned out, our car needed a lot more done than just the part he replaced, and he didnt think it would be worth it for us to spend the extra money. He only charged us for the part he replaced, and not for any labor, and eventually we were able to get the car fixed with a used part we found at a pick and pull. Anyway, my description of this incident is terrible, but let it suffice to say that Craig went out of his way to help us on three separate occasions, and charged us far less than he could have. Our beater is back on the road!

I've gone to Lucas Auto several times for auto service over the past decade. These guys have always done a top-notch job. Their prices are reasonable. They get the job done promptly. More importantly, they get the job done right. Their mechanics are all ASE certified. Also, they back their work up with a 18 month warranty!
Genuine Automotive Shop
Had a major poblem with my XJS8 with a knock in the motor. After tyger and the techs listen to my car they found out the problem quckly. I had put in the wrong oil and gas for the type model that I owned. After cleaning out the fuel and putting in royal purple my car has never ran any better. Thank to Tyger and the gain

The Service Advisers here are GREAT!! I would recommend them to ANYONE. They made me feel like I was top priority they gave me a ride home and picked me up to come get my car when it was ready, the price was half of what the dealer quoted me. Straightforward and Honest
Lucas Auto Center has always been excellent with customer service, and today was a prime example. A series of events occurred that created a challenge in regards to me getting the tires replaced on my car, and Gary helped me find a solution that enabled it to happen. He and the rest of the staff members were as always incredibly courteous and helpful. They are also good at giving you a report on what is wrong without trying to get you to agree to unnecessary work. One of the staff members remarked that with the economic downturn their business has increased because people are electing to repair their cars and keep them longer rather than buy new ones. I suspect that might be a part of their success, but I really think the reason people are returning is because of the high level of service and a reputation for being straightforward and honest.
Convenient
I've been taking both of my vehicles here for over two years now, even after I moved to a different neighborhood 10 miles away!. They're completely honest; I have never felt like they tried to get me to repair something that didn't need repairing. When the dome light in my car went out they told me it was going to be $300 because of an electrical short. Then they even advised against getting it fixed because they didn't think it was worth it! Now that's honesty! They have convenient hours (7am to 7pm Mon-Sat). Even if you can't get there to pick up your vehicle before 7pm, they will leave your key and repair bill with the attached convenience store so you pay and pick it up after that. It's been a real life saver more than once. They will also give you a ride to work if you need it.
Good Service
Tyger Lucas has been the trusted guy "under my hood" since 1993 when i brought my first baby (a 1962 Ford Falcon) in for repair. He was the mechanic who offered tips and suggestions - even going so far as to tell me how to fix the simple problems I was having and lending me the tools to do it myself rather than having him charge me for something unnecessary. He's been with me through three vehicles and has continued to provide stellar and ridiculously quick service to me, my friends and family. Go see Bobby for all your auto needs! Insiders Tip: Get there early: Doors open at 7am, and the line for good service begins then!
Nice Clean

I have a grease monkey friend, and this was her mechanic before she left Houston. He is honest and gets the repairs done very quickly. You won't see any ads for his business really, as all of his business is done through word of mouth. He also a really nice person too!

I dunno if Tyger does this with non-regulars, but after a couple years of taking my benz to the place religiously, he recognizes me even though I sold my car almost a couple years ago. Its been long enough and when I dropped see if he had any beaters to sell a couple weeks ago, he told me to make sure to bring any car I was seriously interested in to check it out. I was kind of sheepish when I brought my third car in, but he told me not to rush and take my time. Turns out that third car may have been flooded so I ended up purchasing the second car I brought to him. But yeah, I'm back as an auto owner and he was a awesome help in the process!
Worthy of Your Business
How many times have you been fleeced by an auto repair place? Me, more times than I would like to admit. Lucas Auto is everything you would hope for in a repair shop: honest, prompt, and reliable. Tyger the owner was great to work with. He was very thorough and asked a ton of questions to make sure had all the info needed to work on my vehicle. Within an hour he called me with the diagnosis. His goal was to help me minimize my repair costs and I had other quotes to compare it with. He was below just about everybody who looked at my vehicle. I needed my vehicle back within in a day due to business travel and the Lucas crew went above and beyond to help me out. Tyger has always been very helpful, extremely honest and to-the-point when it comes to keeping my cars in tip-top condition. I've been through four cars with Tyger and although, with each new purchase, the dealer insists that I go to them for maintenance (even when it's included in my purchase), I still go to Tyger. Fair Price
Vehicle repairs scare me. I loathe them. I'ma single female with very little knowledge about car mechanics, and I've had a sour experience in the past, but these guys are respectful, honest, and not intimating. They tell it how it is, with a completely fair price, and your car is ready when they say it will be. Their website indicates they specialize in imports, but domestics are welcome. There's a drop-box on Dennis St. if you want to leave your vehicle after hours. Appointments are not necessary.

this place. I come here for oil changes and minor repairs, they are very good at telling you exactly what is wrong without trying to coax you into unnecessary repairs. They are also honest and customer service is top notch. Tyger is the man!

They guys here are amazing. I even took my car to the mercedes dealer and they couldnt figure out why i was hearing a noise under my car, they greased something up and sent me on my way, well of course about two months later the noise came back, so i took it to lucas. My service advisor Gary was great he was very knowledgeable and understood all of my concerns he had me a ride home and a ride to pick up my car when it was ready. Since Ive been to lucas auto I havent had any other issues with noise under my car and its been 6 months. I really thought it was very impressive to have the owner actually call me and make sure all the service was up to my expectations and the thank you card in the mail was a nice touch.

Very Helpful
I actually went in because I broke down right in front of them, what are the chances of that? Well they helped get my car in the parking lot and got right on it. All it needed was to have the codes reset. They did this for me at a very good price. And I've been going back to them ever since. What can i say, my car loves Lucas Auto!!

my family first started going to lucas when we bought our second mercedes from a close family friend. he had had the car meticulously maintained by (for 10 years old, it was in mint condition!) and we decided to continue using him as he knew the car and it's quirks, and had clearly done a wonderful job thus far. when i bought my bmw, there was no question as to where i would take it. i've had it for 6 years now, and i've never been disappointed by the service. he has done small jobs on my car and not charged me, but he knows i'll be back for the real stuff. great customer service! i never feel cheated or taken advantage of, and always feel that the price is fair. when my sister bought her car, he helped broker the deal between us and the previous owner who was also one of his clients. she has been very happy with her car as well, so that's 3/3 great experiences for us!

My husband's Toyota Tundra broke down. I was raised by mechanics and thought I had it figured out...a transmission problem. Yuck!! Haven't needed a mechanic in a while, but wasn't all that happy with my previous mechanic. So, I searched online for reviews and settled with Lucas Auto. Boy, am I glad I did. The car was towed from my driveway within 45 minutes. The car was fixed within 2 days. The problem was not the transmission, it was the throttle body. It was still expensive, but Gary had quoted us about $1300 for parts and labor. When we picked up the truck, he surprised us with a cheaper bill. He was able to get the part MUCH cheaper than he thought. We saved about $400. He has found himself a loyal customer. Plus, it is really convenient hours. Oh, and Gary himself is who you talk to on the phone and in person. When the owner is at his place of business, I find that service improves exponentially.

Picky
I happen to be very very picky when it comes to my car. It took me about 2 months to find the perfect car, only problem was the week after it started shaking as i would brake so i took it right in to Lucas Auto since i was recommended by so many others in my community. Within twenty mins after dropping it off Gary called me and told me what was wrong next day i went in to pick it up and guess what? no shaking!! I recommend them to everyone I know too

From a client's perspective, a mechanic is like a doctor or dentist - other than the routine visits, you really don't want to see them because it means other things are awry and your wallet is going to take a hit. So in searching for a mechanic (doctor & dentist), you'd want someone who is amiable, know what he/she is talking about, and truly cares about your car (or your body/teeth)'s well being. Tyger Lucas, though crazy busy (well deservedly so...), took a couple hours out of his packed schedule to help me fix my car, because he didn't want me to get stranded somewhere (my car had issues starting). He followed up with a call to me, letting me know what he's going to do to my car, quoted me the price, and told me when to pick it up. Well, there was my car, ready to go at the designated time. And did I mention that he was NICE?

My sl600 always had issues with the a/ci took it to three different independent auto repair shops and to the dealership twice, once at green way plaza and once at north Houston. None of them realized that it just needed to be revamped, Lucas auto realized this after 15 min. revamped it and tadaaa my car is an ice cube.

Tyger, the owner, is absolutely 100% helpful and knowledgeable. He didn't charge me too much or make me feel dumb because I'ma girl. He clearly explained every little detail about what will be done to my car and what I should do after. This is the only place I will go to now to get my car done. 100% Excellent Customer Service. The alignment done to my car was a lot better than any other shop that did the same thing. My car actually felt stronger. Real results baby

On August 22 my heat gauge suddenly went up. I was referred to the Sears Auto Center at Willowbrook and they sent me to Lucas Car Care for a water pump replacement. The service I received from Tyger Lucas and his staff was outstanding

FEEL AT EASE!
I HAVE TO SAY TOOK MY CAR IN AT 9 LEFT IT WITH A CRAIG AND HE HAD MY CAR READY BY 11 THATS 2 HRS (NOT 2 DAYS NOT 2 WKS) I MEAN I REALLY WAS HAPPY NOT ONLY DID HE FIX IT BUT ALSO POINTED OUT THE OTHER PROBLEMS WITH MY CAR AND QUOTED ME A REASONABLE PRICE TO BOOT I WAS SO ELATED THAT JUST MADE MY THURSDAY, AND THIS WAS A SERVICE ADVISOR THAT I COULD UNDERSTAND (HE SPOKE VERY CLEARLY) AND I WAS JUST OVERALL HAPPY, I MEAN WE ALL HAVE BEEN RIPPED OFF BEFORE BY MECHANICS BUT WITH THIS ONE I ESPECIALLY FELT SATISFIED WITH THE WORK AND DIDNT GET THIS FEELING THAT HE MESSED WITH MY BRAKES OR ADJUSTED MY POINTS JUST SO I CAN TAKE MY CAR BACK I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE THEY ALSO HAVE BODY REPAIR 2 SO ITS LIKE AN ALL AROUND AUTO MART.......SORRY I DONT HAVE A NEGATIVE THOUGHT ABOUT THIS PLACE, BUT THAT SHOULD MAKE YOU ALL FEEL AT EASE.......YESSSS FINALLY A SHOP I CAN TRUST!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fantastic place to take your car.I was having shifting problems with my car and needed to have it checked out.I had it checked out by the volvo dealer prior to taking it to Lucas Car Care.The dealer gave me a estimate that was just more than I could spend.I found Tyger here on Google and gave them a call they checked my car for free(The dealer charged me).Called me and gave me a estimate I almost didn't believe.It was much less than my prior estimate.They fixed my car the same day and it was just the amount they said it would be and my car runs great now.Gary the guy I dealt with is a very friendly and easy to deal with.Give Them a try you will not be disappointed

Lucas Car Care has the most friendly and helpful staff I have ever dealt with. From the time I walk into the front door to the time I pick my car up after it's finished. My service advisor, Gary, is very knowledgable and kept me updated on the repairs so I wasn't constantly wondering the status of my car. Even my shuttle driver was an excellent driver, not to mention, she is one of the nicest people I ever met. I would highly recommend this repair facility to anyone. Great Advisors and Very Refreshing and...
I took my car to Lucas Car Care for a noise in the engine. They checked out my problem which was just a loose belt, adjusted my belt for a small fee. They also noticed a few other problems and told me one needed repair soon but the others could wait. I was very impressed with their honesty, they did not try to pressure me into spending a lot of money but did advise me of the afore mentioned items. It is very refreshing to find people that do honest work. I will refer them with no problem to my friends.

talented mechanics have always done a top notch job on our cars. Lucas Car Care has also been straightforward with what repairs are needed immediately and which can be delayed or are unnecessary. They seem to care about saving you money! The mechanics are skilled at diagnosing problems. They seem to have a lot of experience with my type of car. The owner goes out of his way to help the customers (even when he is very busy). The prices are average compared with other auto shops (according to my father), but the consistently solid work is worth it. On Saturdays, you may have to wait longer in the late morning or afternoon. Going early in the morning on Saturday is faster. They do body work, too.
Best Shop in Town
I brought my car into Lucas Car Care with an air conditioning problem. Two dealers and another so called a/c shop could not figure this thing out. They always acted like my car's problem was all in my head as they all said it worked fine. All I can say is Wow! Lucas's had it for 1/2 the day and found out why it would stop blowing cold for me. They called and gave me an estimate and I had them fix it that same day. These guys are great and I would recommend the to anyone. Great waiting room, Clean restroom. Pleasant environment
Top Notch Auto Repair
I have been living in Cypress for the last 8 to 9 years. I have been to several auto shops in the area. And let me say, I have found them to be not worth the time. They will tell you whatever they can to make money, not what is really going on with your car. I can say honestly that Lucas Car Care is the best Top Notch auto care company I have ever dealt with. And as long as I am in the Houston Area, they will take care of all my cars, RV's and yes even my boat!! Thanks Tyger and crew for taking care of me
Best Place Best Service
I heard it is one of the best places-that means you can believe what they say to you. They know what they are doing, and price is reasonable if you want to take care of your car well. My relatives and friends are their customers. My exprience? So far, so good. I went to other auto shop, and they said I have to change transmission very soon. However, Tyger, the owner, said transmission is fine and he does not see any problems. It was about 1 year ago. My car still runs great.
Finally a clean, friendly & honest...
I was told by a dealer that my truck needed $2200.00 to fix the A/C. When I told a friend about this she suggested I take my truck to a shop she uses.......Lucas Car Care. I made an appointment and they had their technician perform and A/C diagnostic service and found that I only needed a compressor clutch. Not knowing what this was their friendly staff explained to me (with terms and pictures I could understand) what I needed and why. The total bill was about $300.00 and that was with an oil change that my truck needed anyway. I can't say enough about the way my truck and I were treated. It is refreshing to know that there are still clean, friendly & honest auto repair shops.
Great, Fast & Honest Work!!!
I had a broken emergency brake sensor. I called many other mechanics who's prices were double Tyger's. So I decided to give them a try. Not only were their prices great, but they were fast, courteous & even threw in extra's for free like replacing my burnt out bulbs & topping off my fluids. I would recommend Lucas Car Care for anyone who has been burnt in the past my shady mechanic's looking for a honest place to go. Great job guys!
Most knowledgeable shop I've found!...
I went to Lucas Car Care after being referred by 2 different sources. I had my 04 Ford Van into the dealer 4 separate times to fix an AC problem. Each time, they told me they fixed the problem but it never seemed any better. I went to Lucas' and they found and fixed the problem on the first visit. My AC now works like it should have all along. Aside from fixing the problem, I really liked the fact that my service advisor (Craig) kept me posted on what they were doing and explained things to me clearly. I'll be using Lucas Car Care for all my auto service going forward!

One of the few honest auto repair shops: I've used Lucas Car Care several times over the years and have always been extremely pleased. I have come away each time with my car repaired for far less than I would have imagined. You can rest assured that when they diagnose the problem with your auto that they will come back with an honest repair estimate.
Wonderful Service
Like other reviewers, I was lucky to find this shop after other shops had given outrageous estimates for the work they claimed needed to be done on my vehicle. Tyger saved me over $1500 that day. Even though the shop is a bit of a drive from my home, I won't take my car anywhere else!

If you want it done right the first time, go here. I've been to less expensive places but they use inferior parts, and they definitely don't give you a ride to work and pick you up to come get your car. This is a family owned business that cares about the job that they do. I recommend it highly.
